liberal democracy is when you pretend that a billionaire has the same political power as a poorly paid worker
“Extremism” being seen as a threat to democracy instead of the way to create real democracy is something we have to work on. People believe they have/had democracy and that the extremes threaten it. Any revolution under such a mindset will only lead to restoration/rejuvenation of liberalism.
*westerners finally figuring out they don’t live in a democracy
kind of a pointless survey because “democracy” is a meaningless word at this pont
They list Fake News as a big problem, but like, everyone knows they’re fake news? So why do people still fall for them?
- Oh they must mean anything criticizing the west.
They say lack of accountability from politicians/corruption.
- Okay so are we gonna do anything to change the system and make sure our leaders are up to their task, resources go where they’re supposed to?
No, they say extremism is a problem and no systematic changes should be made.
Libs just want a world where they do only what they want and nobody disagrees with them and everything is taken care for them. Me Me Me Me Me

Yeah… we all wished we were Russian 😮💨
Why is every westerner only capable of deflection and never introspection? It’s actually embarrassing to witness.
It’s the whataboutism they so gladly point out only when it suits them
My sibling in christ, you made the country.

Funnily enough satisfaction levels aren’t that high in Russia either (it’s a capitalist bourgeois “democracy” as much as Spain or the USA). The overwhelming majority of people in Russia who lived during Socialism (and in Ukraine up to 2013 for that matter), when polled, confirm that life was better under communism.
If you want to look at countries with a high rate of satisfaction with government, you should check out the governance systems of China and Vietnam. Pew Research polls consistently classify those countries as the ones with the highest number of people being satisfied with government.
I think the point is, no one is claiming they want to live in Russia or approve of Putin, in general.
I understand the point, but this “whataboutism” with Russia was dumb. Nobody is setting the example of Russia as a paradise to live in, I brought up better examples
whataboutism
Yeah… about 40 years ago, that is. We don’t wish we lived in modern Russia, we wish we lived in the Soviet Union.
No, not really
Speak for yourself. Maybe you libs don’t, but us commies sure do.
smartest westerner

Russia is not a democracy either. Their political system is pretty much the same as America’s.
