It would be extremely funny to have a manga introduce a flashback and then switch the story to just following the flashback lol
Pretty sure I remember this flashback started as about Haralds flashback. It may have started about Loki. Then it became about Rocks. We can go straight to Dragon in a boxing ring as a new boxing gym mate sparring with Miyata

Genuinely the best thing in these last few chapters is learning about Dragon, especially seeing his inexperienced past self. Just something about it I found really cool. And he continues to be unfathomably based when he gets the chance to do something and participate in the plot for realsies
I wish Oda would stop killing the moms and only letting the dads survive. Like it kinda gets a little stale after the 50th time… (edit) I guess Rocks is there to break this trend
I honestly don’t want these flashbacks to end because I need to see more of Rocks. He’s become such a genuinely fascinating character and has grown on me so much. Gonna be sad when he stops showing up

Saving Shakky seemed a little too easy? There’s something missing before Rocks and Roger have a climactic showdown… And then we’re still not even done this flashback lol
Good chapter, nothing too groundbreaking though. It is funny to see the rocks pirates just mow down pirates and government alike.
Garp just tanking Lin-Lin’s fire was cool and the gods knights are getting so more development (I’m sure we are going to see another clash with Sommers because that guy still needs to be traumatized by Gaban)
For the next chapter, can we wait till the official release comes out? TCB Scans translations aren’t very good. They miss multiple key details every chapter:

Stephen Paul’s translation better keep the original tone of the Japanese while TCB sounds like they fed it through chatgpt and they regularly miss the point of certain scene (I’m obviously referring to baby shamrock’s “wah” in tcb vs “waah” in Paul’s translation)
It’s fine with me, I’ll make a poll about it for the next thread and we can start the chapter after that just so people know the thread will be on Sundays
It really is a tough situation since the English viz online versions are for some reason more compressed than the other language releases (leading them to be noticeably blurry) but TCB does a machine upscale of the leaks so it can get wonky at points and they usually don’t have the time to clean it up.
The translation quality is a dealbreaker though. Who would forget when tcb messed up the “kurozumi must burn” line in wano and made hiyori call for the burning of all kurozumi including o tama.
I think the dialogue in the official version can be clunky, but it has the benefit of being more clear about stuff. TCB’s only real unique feature is that they sometimes include notes pages with context for some stuff that the official version doesn’t have space for like Imu’s personal pronoun being “mu”
