“Encourage” is a nice way to say force people to work by various means of austerity measures.

“What is the most admirable creature on God’s green Earth? Why, it’s the bee! Have you ever seen a bee on vacation? Have you ever seen a bee take a sick day? Well, my friends, the answer is no! So I say, be… the bee! Be the bee!” - Jeremiah Fink (unrelated)

    Or maybe. Just fucking maybe.

HIRE THE UNDEREMPLOYED YOUNGER GENERATIONS! We’re all raring to go and we’re all waiting on you to stop twiddling your thumbs and put us to work. Stop being a baby and expand your business you fucking chickenshit coward.

“Waaaaah! My business is expanding! I’m making more money and putting people to work! The humanity!” - words spoken by the utterly deranged

    There, retirement ‘crisis’ solved.

But if they did that, the working class wouldn’t have mass unemployment and desperation, and could porky-scared-flipped form unions and demand better pay

As I see these articles I wonder why be born if it is only to work until you die and why pay retirement taxes that you will never reap; yet they wonder why people do not want to bring children into this world.

Germans once had a slogan which translates to “work sets you free” in Auschwitz after all.

If it was about productivity and not power, these shit brains would be investing in productive capacity to make people’s lives better instead of worse and people would be able to work less instead of more.

This is one of the contradiction of capitalism. It is not really about productivity but profit margins, investing in workers wellbeing, despite historically proven sucessess every time it was tried, would lessen the profit margins and put capitalist into worse position comparing to his fellows for long time. While working workers to death increases profit margins regardless of everything else. This is why owenism failed, and marxism is the only working option.
