Drulector Pepper
NSFWI mean, as far as corporate cease and desists go, that was about as chill as you could possibly get.
Could I get some more pixels for the Dr Pepper dm please
This is the image from the tweet, has about 17 more pixels!
Edit: oops, I see someone already posted a transcription
Hey there fellow pepperhead! Our legal team is not super excited about this tweet. The opinions on your account are not representative of the Dr Pepper brand of products, and we kindly ask that you take this post down immediately.
Who am I speaking with? I will negotiate with Dr Pepper and Dr pepper only.
Hey there - Dr Pepper is not a real individual, and thus would not be available to speak with you. I would be happy to connect you with our head of in-counsel, John Barbe, if you would like to speak about this further.
Sure, here you go: …
We can’t afford it. Just make the most out of the pixels you already have!
I don’t know why they don’t just require one member of their legal team to change their name to Dr Pepper
And get a degree
Nah, legal first name is just “Dr”
Dre didn’t need a degree
You don’t even need a degree, you can just put Dr in front of your name. Look at Dr Dre!
At Greendale, I’m assuming
Dr Pepper Corporation is not a real company. Dr Pepper is not a real person. Therefore: SILENCE, BRAND.
I’m curious as to what the legality is here. Can Dr. Pepper demand the tweet be taken town? I suppose they can demand it but can the legally force it or sue the poster?
Seems like clear satire.
Maybe if their name and profile pic were set to try to convince people. As it is, no reasonable person would think this random person online represents doctor pepper, and they would probably lose the lawsuit. They don’t have to win it to cost you lots in lawyer and court fees though.
