The second panel is just Warhammer 40K
Drive closer so I can hit then with my sword!
Nah, Trench Crusade
To be fair, most Arthur stories are using Le Morte D’Arthur (15 century) as their main inspiration. Even the earliest stuff is 11th century.
There is a dearth of proper low Middle Ages stuff for sure though.
The other day I saw a video of a fight between 2 Roman Legionaries and a knight in plate armour. I was thinking it must be like us seeing a mech.
That sounds awesome, got a link to share?
https://youtu.be/YmSb7QBTAGc it’s a pretty cool channel
Funny, but obviously not realistic. If those two just charged him they easily would have knocked him over, but they just sort of poke him with their shields and back off when he’s instable. “Not choreographed” but still obviously planned.
That channel is a gold mine, thank you !
But the coconuts can stay, right? Right?
Pssshhh…
Everyone knows about the grand rout Richard pulled off on Saladin at Arsuf, after his heavy armor punched through the Saracen lines. What, you going to tell me those were men on horses or something?
I only tolerate crusaders having tanks if I am playing Civilization, and then only if they are my crusaders.
Trench Crusade!
All I’m seeing is that King Arthur was thiccc!
The British and French saw themselves as modern Crusaders when they set up their colonies in West Asia.
