Every time my parents or grandparents ask, my wife and I say we won’t be trying until one more year. I think the current value is we need to be 55 years old.

Lol, the amount of damage control I had to do one Christmas when I rejected alcohol and said “no I don’t really drink alcohol these days”.

Ha, amazing! Admittedly, I’m at the age where whenever one of my good drinking friends orders a non alcoholic beverage, it’s usually followed by an explanation, and because we’re us, a good percentage of the time that explanation does involve gestating a tiny new person.

I told my mom that I’m gay. I’m actually not, but it’s really effective at getting her to stay the fuck out of my life and she no longer has any interest in such things from me.

She also doesn’t try to hook me up with anyone anymore because she’s a christian.

Dating and already having nearly grown children in your thirties is also weird. People assume you aren’t allowed to have standards (single moms are for fun) or to raise their small children for them (mommy shopping). Or you are looking for a replacement parent (absolutely not). It’s…something.

Happened to me for like 15 years. I’m so glad she finally gave up it, especially when I was vehemently against having kids in the first place.

✂️✂️ Best decision I’ve ever made. To be fair, though, the bar was subterranean, but that also explains the necessity.

I am starting to think I should also get my wires crossed. I see no downside for me now that I’m already in my 30s and don’t really want kids.

There was none for me. My shitty marketplace insurance plan even paid for every last dime of it to the tune of over $6,000 (in magical, negotiated, inflated healthcare dollars, that is). I suppose they know as well as anyone how much kids cost.

Fending off both family and coworkers (friends tend to get it). Can’t get mad at them when they mean well, but it can be a bit tiresome. I know who I am and I’ll never change!! Lol.

Thanks for sharing the much more appropriate link!

Their stuff is so damned good. Existential Stormtroopers always cracks me up.

The meme is actually an attempt to exorcize Babytime from my head, where it’s been stuck for the better part of a week.

Auralnauts are the only satire video producers whose songs get me on my feet and make me dance EVERY SINGLE TIME. They’re genuinely my favorite band, I play their songs all the time lol! :)

Ha, the music absolutely makes it work! Have you listened to Craven In Outer Space"s solo stuff? His synthwave remix of Hit Me Baby One More Time is genuinely one of my favourite songs of 2025. (Concerning Hobeats is up there too)

AURALnauts. Yeaaahhh. Goddamn it’s been a long time! I feel so… Ollld :(

I haven’t even watched the links, but I can hear both their signature intro sound AND the entirety of the stupid baby time song with c3p0 singing it in my head from apparently nearly 13 years ago. Time moves too fast :(

    You are only one who:

Has a mother that wants you to to spawn kids? Finds that dating over 30 is difficult? Went on a date with a nice lady? A combination of all three?
