It probably won’t make you feel any better but in my experience most job that ultimately provide positive results for society/humanity are exhausting as hell because you either constantly fight your employer or the government just to do what you’re trying to do. I work in environmental remediation but my paychecks are signed by a major oil company.
A week is abysmal… But it’s as you say, most people with desk jobs are in an office park or some bleak suburban corporate zone. In order to have basic daily (or in this case, weekly) physical activity you really have to go out of your way to do it for the sake of itself. My mom has to walk laps around her office building.
I’m glad I’ve mostly moved away from field work at my job but I’ll do it gladly when they need me just so I don’t have to spend 100% of my time at a desk behind a screen.
Yeah I’ll give my partner the full warning. Luckily (?) we’re both ADHD and he’s on the SSRIs so we’re very familiar with mood swings lol.
The reassociation is a good idea! I was thinking about carrying a lil game thing (likely the psp go I have) and taking breaks with that. Definitely one of the things i’ll miss most about smoking is the excuse to separate from the crowd for a moment.
I think I like that better than gum. I know you can get flavored toothpicks I’m gonna look into getting some.
Walks are a good idea! Also I should def be avoiding certain gas stations, particularly the ones I know sell loosies under the table.

Also, you reminded me that one of the biggest hurdles I need to get over personally is not completely giving up after the first slip.

I can’t get past how strange of a hill this is to die on. Though I have to imagine this rhetoric is completely based on optics and mob preference (just like the latin xenophobia). Either that or the state is afraid of us because we don’t fold to social norms and traditions.
Like I get parents being scared of having disabled kids for the financial strain if nothing else, but like afaik most autistics can be self sufficient and independent with the right developmental help. Compared to a serious physical disability or developmental/degenerative neurological disability it seems kinda silly. I would guess my parents paid more for me to play hockey as a kid than it would cost to provide assistance to the average autistic (with money left over for the kid to be into less expensive activities).
If we’re looking for preventative mental issues how about we worry about american football first.
