TL;DR: apparently it’s used to either produce brandy (such as grappa) or used as animal feed.

TL;DR: apparently it’s used to either produce brandy (such as grappa) or used as animal feed.
According to the article, olive oil is a fruit oil, because it’s made by pressing the whole fruit instead of just the seed.
Also, unlike seed oils, it doesn’t require additional chemical processing in order to make it edible.
