Have the specs been leaked/announced, at least? I know nothing about it except that it’s being called “Deckard.”
Not yet. There’s really only lots of speculation, as far as I’ve seen none of the leaks have any details on the actual hardware. It’s probably standalone with DP for hooking up to a PC. It might have the nice BOE 4k mOLED panels that are just hitting the market currently.
Honestly upset they’re making a standalone and not iterating on the index. Middle finger triggers are fine, but the index controllers are really next level in terms of immersion. The only issue is that the switches in the sticks suck ass and drift after a few hundred hours. Also I’ve had struggles with steam link on a quest 3, and I don’t enjoy introducing unnecessary latency with wireless connections, especially in vr where anything above an 11ms frametime is liable to make people motion sick.
If the headset is capable of running intensive games on its own then I’ll be slightly reassured.

Latency is not that big of a problem since it renders a larger area than what you see. When you turn your head it’s local.
Hopefully the new Valve controllers are backwards compatible, so you can use those if they are better.
