Those typefaces are typically pretty racist too, I’ve seen some old signwriting books from the 50’s where they had whacky names
The whacky names were a choice on the part of the Chinese business owners who didn’t want to seem threatening to white people
or they had to play into the orientalism to seem “authentic”
