It’s because of Palestine, but also, he’s been a real slippery one in the past year. People like Dan Saltman have explicitly attempted to get him either de-platformed or even deported by holding one-on-one meetings with Republicans in Congress. I’m pretty sure the only reason Laura Loomer knows anything about Hasan is because of Destiny orbiters. He was detained earlier in the year reentering the country, which didn’t amount to anything. The ADL was after him as part of a larger attack on Twitch, which didn’t do anything. Ethan Klein put out a “hit peace piece” video that he hyped up for months that he believed would clearly take Hasan down, and nothing came of that either. This is just another desperate attack on him.
It’s being an outspoken leftist in the US that doesn’t parrot NATO leftist talking points, at least not as much as the other “leftist” commentators do. Americans like to claim that tens of millions are on the left but get furious when a mild one like Hasan gains traction.
