Whenever I’m feeling down in the dumps I can remember all the Hindutva fash knuckleheads swooning over IDF posting and the Israelis responding with a torrential barrage of racism.

Got a lot of schadenfreude out of that memory

These fake movie trailers are always so, so bad

Like, if you have to cut every three seconds because the scene begins to disintegrate beyond that moment, why in the world would you think you could make an entire movie?

I have a few theories, the main one being the mutual Islamophobia.

Israelis are also huge tourists in India, there are towns with everything in Hebrew to cater towards them. So there is a positive economic association with them in this way, plus Israelis love co opting Hindu religious aesthetics as a form of new age mysticism.

Another thing I heard recently but don’t know much about is Israelis paying Indians to be hasbara bots and promote Israel online. So maybe some Indians don’t really feel committed to Israel but literally are paid to say things online in support of Israel

Yes both Zionism and Hindutva are fascistic and Islamophobic ideologies, Modi and RSS are very jealous of how Isntreal has become real.

These same people can unironically be seen supporting China after hearing and believing Uyghur genocide myths.

Probably closely related to all the new-age/yoga fascist pipelining that’s been increasing over the last decade. Just a remix of the old nazi mysticism with new signifiers.

It was already popular in Germanic nationalist movements and with certain wealthy elites by the end of the 1800s is my understanding. And they certainly co-opted it from the fashion for orientalist mysticism and creating repurposed esoteric symbolism for their private societies.

The Nazis took it from there in the twenties with the formation of the party, using the colours (red, black, white) from the flag of the old German empire, and then Hitler fiddled with it a bit.

I can’t remember where it’s from, but there’s a piece of writing by Hitler where he’s doing a very ‘graphic design is my passion’ thing about what a genius he is for changing the thickness of the swastika and finding just the right size of circle. That paragraph or two are far more embarrassing than all the rest of the failed painter stuff.

Israel was an ally to India when they fought wars against Pakistan. I don’t really know a lot about it, but my guess is they’ve just had a long-term relationship between the governments and India definitely has a strong tendency towards Hindu nationalism. I think they probably view Israel as a justification of that, kind of like “Israel can do it for Jewish people so we can do it too”

Also like how anti-Semitic Christians will join hands with Israel in the comradery of Islamaphobia.

Hindus trying to join in too not knowing that white people are too stupid and ignorant to be able to differentiate between Hindus and Muslims; to the average American these are just interchangeable words for “scary brown person”.

India has kashmir, just like israel has palestine. India idolizes how israel has been able to take over palestine and they wish to do the same with kashmir and maybe some more areas.

They use the same rhetorics too. Every country who wants to colonize other people’s land, looks up to israel as their idols.

The weirdest thing about that image is that of you look closely the crowd is a series of concentric circles to the centre of the image which just Isn’t how crowds work. They focus towards the point of attention. Real uncanny valley shit.

Also what’s up with the lines with irregular lighting/geometry? I picked out a few, but there are loads of them. It’s like they’re supposed to be arms that are reflecting light, but they’re in places that make no sense:

Still can’t get basic fundamentals correct

its probably not much more complicated than the AI was trained on some images where a crowd all had their hands up, so now crowds are associated with a bunch of fleshy parallel lines and when those got randomly added it upped the confidence score on the “crowd” token.
