Thank you for your effort, screenshotting and posting all that must have taken some time. I saw most of what you shared this morning then got the last part a moment ago, like delicious leftover slop. I think you already pointed this out, these folks have the vibe of Nu Atheists but ostensibly religious, just such a unique strain of reactionary.
I initially thought this subreddit was just a bunch of religious libs, but upon looking closer, they’re definitely crypto-fascists. It’s kinda funny, because the sub is a hodgepodge of far-right religious extremists and liberals branding themselves left while being fervently anti-Communist and anti-tankie(and even anti-Anarchists), and it shows. Most of the posters there usually display heavy queerphobic sentiments(especially transphobia from what I was able to glean) while a select minority try to go “oh this anti-theist position from a queer person is such a bad look for the community” in a fauxgressive, tone-policing manner.
The same also applies for Pro-Palestine advocacy: most seem to at least show sympathy to the Palestinians and show rightful anger at atheists who reduce the genocide to “religious conflict and barbarity” and correctly call out Zionists, but then there’s also a sizeable chunk of liberal Zionists in there who run defense for their apartheid state like in the screenshot above.
I wanted to highlight this sub because there’s a shitload of incredible contradictions afoot amongst the users. And there’s also equally incredible slop to be found.

The CIA doesn’t give a fuck if you hate America, as long as you hate every alternative more. They know that whitewashing the US in the eyes of Americans is a fool’s errand, because it contradicts their lived experiences. So they rely on vilifying their foreign enemies, which Americans never visit. Then smug left-liberals and right-liberals will laugh at you when you push back against those ridiculous portrayals even a little, while fancying themselves immune to propaganda in the process, because they know “the US is bad” too (as if that were subversive).

They’re incredibly dogmatic with their religiosity which leads to predictable reactionary politics, no different from how reddit atheists are dogmatic in their anti-theism and chauvinism.

For some context: the sub has a theist-unity rule, meaning no inter-faith attacks. This kinda makes it a little better than the atheist sub and most other religious subs on reddit, because it means you get a more nuanced take on Islam that doesn’t devolve to chauvinism and racism. But because practically most people on there are reactionary extremists(they hate queer people especially and are overwhelmingly pro-life) and radlibs donning the facade of leftist, it gets kinda funny seeing how uniquely they position their regressive takes and in the ways it differs from the standard chuddery of reddit.

No it doesn’t. It’s a bad sub that exists to post absolutely ridiculous shit. It is a bog standard religious right wing place making bog standard religious right arguments, and the only reason you could in any way give it the time of the day is because the strongest force among the internet left is their own cultural cringe over atheism.

To be fair, sometimes the sub correctly recognizes that Israel is guilty of genocide(though I don’t think they use that word to describe it most of the time, just another oddity of that sub) when the Zionist users aren’t around, but they’re so violently transphobic that they go around and unironically say “trans genocide actually refers to trans people genociding theists” when trans people actually show even the slightest hint of militant resistance against bigotry and its just
