South Park is an “adult” animated cartoon created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, two libertarians who have a “everything is dumb and caring about things is stupid” approach to politics and life in general. South Park often met controversy for its crude humour, and as a result, was very popular with teenage boys who uncritically adopted the smug nihilist attitudes of its creators.
