Taco, Chaco owl having a little sit down

It’s a hard life for a baby owl… holding yourself up on those little legs all day!

Did you know birds can technically “sit down”? Sometimes, especially when they’re babies, they will plonk themselves down on the backs of their legs (the bird equivalent of shins/hocks) to rest their feet. When they’re feeling very lazy, they’ll even lay down on their tummies too!

It is ridiculously adorable and they seem to find it very comfy too!
