Let’s say that hypothetically someone flew an fpv drone right up to your bedroom door, which is accessible from outside the building, during the middle of the night at 11pm.

What do?

keep blinds shut/windows locked. Doors too. I dont want to seem callous or flippant but have you had any breakups recently that went south? Any hookups that maybe went bad? Any negative interactions w strangers recently? Stalkers?

No there’s no possibilities like that.

The only other possibility that’s running through my mind is that it’s police scoping out a polytunnel we have. It’s possible that someone has told the police we’re growing weed, but it’s actually full of palm trees I’ve been growing for several years now.

Depending upon your location, it may be against rules laid out by whatever agency has authority over flights/flying in the country you live in.

It’s UK, I have no idea what the laws are tbh.

Bird netting or fishing line strung back n forth might foul up a rotor.

This is actually pretty viable, maybe some fishing line run from ground to nearby trees. Wouldn’t interfere with anything on the ground for people using the area but if you tried to fly something in there it would catch on something.

Looks like below 250g is fine, above 500g is “not within 50m of people this includes up to max height ceiling” ie anything above that size isn’t allowed anywhere near towns/cities. Can’t really find anything suggesting tracking though.

every drone operator of drones under 250g with a camera or any over 250g needs to be registered with an operator id that needs to be displayed on the drone
you can search the id here

          from here

of course being the uk, what is a toy is loosely defined and fuck knows what the enforcement of these rules are like lol
