    Explanation: In the 1960s, the US involvement in Vietnam ramped up, and to avoid calling up the reserves, which was considered to be a politically unpopular move, conscription of young men was initiated instead.

    This definitely did not scar a generation of American kids, in order to murder a generation of Vietnamese, all over a failed attempt to prop up an unpopular military junta in South Vietnam which failed anyway. No sir. It did… something positive. We swear.

      Is it fortunate or unfortunate that strategic bombing was a really shit strategy?

      I suppose we just file it all under “bad” and try not to think about it until someone suggests trying the same thing again.
