Not a fan of it by any means, but it shit down ~11 days ago and no one mentioned it.

Every link to something on the instance redirects to this: https://imgur.com/XpxDJTg

Since lemmy posts are links, every image post is now that image.

The admin (local account on lemm.ee https://lemm.ee/u/[email protected] ) said it was because of the harassment culture on lemmy (https://lemm.ee/post/64686772 ), and blamed sunshine and beaver for doing something? (https://lemm.ee/post/63664605/20610349 – the post this is in reply to is gone, but the comment is in the local copy of the person’s profile.)

Anyone know what happened?

I don’t know what you want from me? Sorry I got treatment for depression? Believe me or don’t, I don’t really care, but that’s why he closed the server if you’re curious.

In most of the world as it should be, the process is:

      • Someone makes accusations against another person
      • Someone else asks why, backing behind the accusations
      • There is a response indicating the “why” because that’s a sensible thing to ask

      In toomanypancakes-world, apparently, it is:

      • Someone makes accusations against another person
      • How dare you I know I saw receipts but I can’t find them right now anyway I’m disabled so it’s not fair for you to ask that kind of thing but I’m certain that these outlandish accusations I am making are accurate

I’m not asking you to apologize for seeking treatment. I’m asking you to back up the accusations you made. That’s a fair thing to ask you to do, and sidestepping into whining about how I’m oppressing your issues because I am asking for it is bullshit.

I was under the impression that he passed along the administration to the server to someone else, I guess he kept the keys to the server after all.
