I have an Acer monitor with in built speakers connected through HDMI cable to RX7600 GPU. Previously when I was on Ryzen 2200G CPU I could get sound from the monitors in built speakers. But now after the upgrade the Windows 10 says that it is sending sound to High Definition Audio Device but I am not getting any sound.
Any idea about why there is no sound now?
Just in case try reinstalling your GPU drivers. Try the clean install option.
The iGPU and the 7600 should use the same drivers, but maybe windows just freaked out with the removal of one?
I have not done any changes to the software yet, will try that today.
Hd audio device is the 3.5 mm jack on your mobo. You should have the option to switch to you monitor in the sound settings.
There is no such option.
Not home now. I’ll post again when I can poke at my computer.
What are the available options for output devices?
Only 2, the other one is SPDIF.
Im not too experienced with windows, but there are config options for this kinda stuff in my BIOS, maybe worth checking. But generally i assume something got mixed up because your previous one was an APU and now its just a CPU, so the list of audio devices has changed. I assume you have already tried replugging everything and basic stuff like dat?
Monitor HDMI cable is the only pluggable connection here. What was that very last word - did you mean ‘that’?
did you mean ‘that’?
yes :)
