Ukraine is flatter than me on Estrogen. It’s incredibly easy to just roll on in there.
Venezuela is incredibly mountainous, including its coastline. Even an amphibious landing would be very difficult.
Its a lot of tall mountains, and narrow river valleys. The white guy who named it, called it Venezuela because it reminded him of Venice, Italy.

“Incredibly easy” is a bit of an overstatement, iirc Ukraine is muddy as hell in a lot of places, like Siberia.
