I looked up gorpcore. GORP is another name for trailmix snack, acronym “Good Ole Raisin and Peanuts”. Gorpcore describes when people wear outdoor recreation clothing (such as hiking boots and puffy jackets) for the purpose of casual street clothing.

For the benefit of anyone who doesn’t know; bike helmets lose their ability to protect after a single fall/crash. They can have microfractures that you cannot see such that 2nd hand bike helmets must always be assumed to be compromised.

(for slow speed general transit that is. helmets are essential for racing, bmx and mountain biking)

This is not a serious post, I just saw the word ‘Gorpcore’ and thought it was funny. This is only expensive because it’s cycling gear from the brand Canyon
An even better name would be Trailmixcore. Maybe that term will be used eventually for raves in the wilderness.
That’s how things would pan out. Trailmixcore is the name for people who just like the aesthetic and gorpcore is for people that actually enjoy the outdoors
