Is Santa Saint Nicholas of Myra? Because where I live, Nikolaus and Santa are two different entities. One has a bishop’s rod and hands out candy at December 6th, the other drinks coca cola, rides a sleigh and hands out presents at Christmas.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do some people have so many browser tabs open?
4·7 days agoI don’t save tabs between sessions because of my ADHD. Otherwise I’d drown in them. This way I’m forced to use bookmarks for things I really need and the useless clutter gets removed once I close my browser.
LGBTQ acceptance? In this political climate, in this part of the world, localized entirely within Albany?!
It’s only half localized though, the actual path is still called program files. It just displays the localized name. Which is somehow even worse.
Which US sites have US visitors only? Apart from government.
To train for lucid dreaming, you basically do two things:
First always write down what you were dreaming right after you wake up. You will start to see patterns and then be more aware when those happen again (I often dream that I can’t break in time for a red light. That never happens in real life).
Second is to make it a habit to check whether you’re dreaming. Look at your fingers, look at your watch, etc. Something will be off when you’re dreaming. Just like in Inception.
I used to train like this and after a few weeks I could actually control my dreams sometimes.
I see you’ve played saucy spicy before

2·19 days agoIn my country I don’t need to file taxes at all unless I’m self-employed. As an employee I can do it voluntarily to profit from tax reduction for stuff the government has no data on, eg. how long my commute is.

memes@lemmy.world•"One piece after the 37 episode gets really good"
121·19 days agoI never watched one Piece but there’s no way you need over a thousand episodes for whatever story they are trying to tell. I can’t wrap my head around that.
Y’all are so occupied by this whole Epstein thing that you forget to riot every week because your government is literally dismantling what is left of US democracy.
Okay a couple rich people raped children. That’s horrible, but does it really matter now? Do you think the MAGA regime will just stop their fascist plans once there is hard evidence? Trump is above the law and his followers only believe what he says.
This happens to me at least weekly and I can’t take it anymore
That’s why I have a physical timer bolted to the cupboard door in my kitchen.

1·22 days agoTrackpads give options. Sure most first person games have controller support. Coming from mouse and keyboard, I still can’t stand playing those with a stick though. Trackpad + Gyro is an absolute game changer, I prefer that even over a mouse now.
