Whiskey, cigars, trucks, guns, etc. Therefore when given the option of something soft and perfumed and feminine (woman) or something calloused and firm and dusty (man) to a truly straight dude the manly choice is obvious. 22·1 month agoCitizens United made it worse, but we were fucked before then. Lobbying is just legalized bribery. We need to repeal Citizens United but then we need to keep going and rework the whole campaign finance and lobbying systems too.

Cops in the USA, as well as being scum, are terrified. The population has almost no access to mental health care, near unlimited access to guns, and many reasons to not trust the police. The police are also trained as “warriors” instead of guardians with a us vs them mentality. I’d imagine besides the legal ramifications, Uk and Eu police are just not as scared shitless and therefore don’t start popping off when an acorn hits their car or a 13 year old has a stick.
Howard Zinn’s People’s History starts by describing the early years after the colonizers appearance. It’s a tough read.
That’s a good point. I buy most of my produce at small natural food stores. It’s normally better, but more expensive for sure. Yeah supermarket produce can often be a let down.
