Didn’t Jon Oliver threaten to do that in an episode about data brokers? Not sure if he ever did.

Is there a massive list or database of all the companies that are still funding this administration?

You can still have a good (dare I say better) browser experience without AI crap by using a non chromium based browser.
For example you would probably really like uBlock Origin on a Gecko-based browser. uBO on a chromium based browser isn’t as powerful because of recent Manifest V2 changes.
Also, the fact that Google funds Mozilla is not as bad as actually using chromium browsers. Using chromium browsers does more damage to our internet experience than having Mozilla accept dollars from Google.
In a way, don’t you think it’s weird that Google is funding Mozilla (and by your logic basically endorsing it) and yet you’re not using it?

That makes sense. Not all browsers are meant to be daily drivers. It sounds like it would be good for certain use cases. Thank you for sharing in detail.

Has anyone tried Mullvad Browser and would care to comment on their experience comparing to LibreFox, WaterFox, Floorp, Zen etc. ?
I just wish we could find each other irl. I’m the tin foil privacy nerd everywhere I go.

Vivaldi is chromium based. The goal is to not support Google’s monopoly and stranglehold over dictating web standards.

In my experience, Zen’s design and customization is really nice but it’s also extremely buggy. Maybe to be expected, as I think they are still in their alpha release.
I was also concerned about maybe getting fingerprinted more easily since it’s a very niche browser.

I have had delivery issues with Zoho in the past. Just me?
Tech workers have historically been respected and well-paid, without unions. The power of tech workers did not come from solidarity, but from scarcity, Doctorow said. The minute bosses ordered tech workers to enshittify the product they were loyally working on, perhaps missing various important social and family events to ship it on time, those workers could say no—perhaps in a much more coarse way. Tech workers could simply walk across the street ““and have a new job by the end of the day”” if the boss persisted.
So labor held off enshittification after competition, regulation, and interoperability were all systematically undermined and did so for quite some time—until the mass tech layoffs. There have been half a million tech workers laid off since 2023, more are announced regularly, sometimes in conjunction with raises for executive salaries and bonuses. Now, workers cannot turn their bosses down because there are ten others out there just waiting to take their job.

I commented on the wrong post. It was from c/leopardsatemyface!

I should call her.

Valid criticism isn’t baseless hate. And, is better to be skeptical than blindly complacent.

ok but when do the puts expire?

You put Mamdani, Bernie, or AOC virtually anywhere in Europe, and they’re slightly left leaning moderates.

I realize it may seem hard, but if you make yourself strictly available on Signal, over time, your contacts on Signal do grow. Because that’s where you’re available. And you don’t make yourself available in other platforms. People want to talk to you. Be available and a good experience to talk to on Signal. My Signal contacts are now nearing triple digits, and it’s fantastic.

Use Signal.
Why leave it to car brains to determine if they like it? The people driving F350 GMC Yukon zero visibility death machines will never. Too bad.
Regulate the size of cars and stop pedestrian/biker deaths.
