my thoughts. the heck does a brain dead LLM have access to your file system or to do anything except interact with you lol

I thought the whole point of Real ID was you couldn’t fly without it. Now they just say aw f it pay us 45 bucks? Where’s the ‘security’?

Ah the days of finding a trash bag under a bush in a canyon filled with magazines. Thems was the days. And we’re headed home.

Yeah but who believes Barbarians?
This is only required if the instance has never seen the community before. You can read how you can accomplish this in the Lemmy docs or the Fedecan guide:
Is doing above only for lemmy instance admins? Or is this for regular users? Thank you for the extensive write up, btw.
My dog covers her waterdish when these clowns’ names come up on TV
We believe in nothing, OP. Nothing!
Thanks, currently trying this out. I’m seeing a lot of things I’m not interested in, would be nice if they could have a slider for what percentage of things you’ve subbed to vs new things.

Should be why are we allowing them to do stuff like this, how are they getting away with it (who is enabling them), and what can we do to stop them, other than just sitting around until voting day 3 years and change from now.
Also a reddifugee, is there something we need to do to interact with the whole of Lemmy instead of just the server you registered on? (link please?) TIA
It’s been my experience on Reddit that you only ‘win’ a difference of opinion by not engaging people. And what you “win” isn’t Internet clout, it’s your sanity, continued semi privacy, and peace of mind.
Curious to see how Lemmy works out. Searching for a place you can actually engage in respectful disagreement or exchange of ideas. Even if someones’ ideas are different than your own, they help you think and explore, and if you come to the same decision, cool.
The real question remains: can I be naked in your backyard.
One thing leads to another for me. My love of nature and animals extending into trying to do good things, like picking up trash in the ocean when I paddleboard. Or saving a bumblebee’s life that accidentally flew into the ocean.

If I understand correctly this impacted users doing API stuff so as a general user I’m unaffected, which is a relief. Didn’t have en e-mail, at least.
I like some of these ideas, so that if you are a target of a leak they don’t get everything and easy access to other things. At some point people are going to stop focusing on security for convenience sake. So what’s the cutoff, financial institutions get different emails/usernames/passwords? Government sites? Medical? Etc.

Mine is drivers who act like there aren’t other people on the road. IE turning into your lane doing greatly reduced speed right in front of you, Doing well below speed limits in faster lanes and refusing to get over, etc.

I have to refer to between 25-40 tabs to do my job at work, plus then there’s the stuff “to do” for today, stuff I just know is going to come up again or I’m actively tracking or referring to, etc.
At home I have several tabs I refer to or visit often, and then there’s the stuff I mean to follow up on, and the stuff I’m actively doing/reading.

Not true, I perform magic tricks every time I go into a bar and the bar and beertenders LOVE me and can’t get enough. I make my drinks dissappear! ;p
I can’t stand those types of people.
