More specifically he underestimated the preparation of Ukrainian soldiers, notably the fact that NATO instructors came to share their training and tactics and help to prepare for the next war. He was well aware of it though, he used that as an argument that Ukraine was about to join NATO.

This is what-if thinking. Right now the Russian are clearly showing disinterest in negotiating the end of the war, they are fully prepared to sacrifice more lives in order to gain territories, there is no reason to think they weren’t already at the start.

Then the company rents the yacht at cost to the rich person so that the company does not declare profits, the rich person does not own the expensive yacht themselves and they can even deduce the rents from their declared fortune.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Stop stressing my GPU and start hiring artists
4·1 month agoPlague tale (requiem in particular) is also ridiculously beautiful on mid range GPUs. I couldn’t believe my graphic card was able to do that. It’s a shame games reviews and screenshots don’t account for average setups because that’s what most of us have and some developers deserve praise to make it work for us.

1·1 month agoAre you playing with gyro aiming? I also loved the gameplay of the first one and was disappointed by the second. My hypothesis is that aiming without gyro was too tedious so they updated the gameplay to require less aiming. Not that the game tries to be realistic anyway but the combo/special attacks and the time spent in the inventory/wheel kinda break the immersion/flow for me.

2·1 month agoI felt dishonored offered many more options to move around, the level design had more surprises and verticality which multiplies options. Sneaking is a viable gameplay approach which I love (personal taste here). The characters and dialogs have a lot more depth and there is a lot more lore to discover along the way.
Also It might be my fault because I opted to avoid typhoon upgrades, but the mid game was really tedious due to ammo scarcity and the end game was too easy after that.
