How do you stop someone from hoarding wealth?
Land ownership is the way it is because someone with a polity stick decided that they had the exclusive right to parcel it out at their discretion, despite the fact that all humans are born into the earth with an equal claim to it. The method in which land is distributed is not a feature of either capitalism or socialism, but a matter independent to both.
There’s nothing morally wrong with being greedy by itself. If someone does a good thing for selfish reasons, that’s still a good thing. If I decide to become a doctor because I selfishly want respect, admiration, and social or monetary capital, the world is still better off for me doing so. Sick people will get better.
Greed only becomes bad when you empower people to use violence to keep themselves on top. Most often it is the threat of state violence that forces people into situations where abuse occurs.
No, you can’t disassociate from my factory because I own the patent (says the state), I own the land (says the state), and I own the distribution liscences, (says the state). If you violate my state given rights, the police will come and beat you. I can abuse you, and you can’t leave because the state will punish you if you do. It’s against the principals of the free market.

Ed Greenwood, as pictured, wrote almost the entirety of the forgotten realms lore. They are an incredibly accomplished writer, and are responsible for a lot of iconic elements of modern D&D.
Yes, some of his contributions are disturbing and fetishy, but that’s a small minority compared to the vast number of things put out. Contrary to what others may be implying here, I feel that avoiding his work out of distaste will leave you much worse off than exploring it with the understanding that some stuff will get freaky, and that you have the ability to leave that at the door when it comes to your own table.
If you’re at all a fan of the forgotten realms, I would highly recommend checking out his YouTube channel which contains a treasure trove of creative D&D cannon not published everywhere else.
What is to stop devs from sabotaging the preservation effort by releasing a cookie clicker patch the day of server shutdown, that converts the game into a cookie clicker clone? Or more simply, introducing so many intentionally buggy out features that the game is rendered unplayable? Would consumers have the right to pick which version of the game they get to self host at the end?
Cough medicine can induce drowsiness, but you probably shouldn’t be taking it as a sleep aid. The distinction between intended vs unintended effects is an important distinction to make, in my opinion, to prevent drugs from being unintentionally misused.
The system in Vancouver does use electronics to create the flashing, but I’m pretty sure it just synchronises to to average speed of the train because the illusion is quite inconsistent. It will almost always scroll forwards or backwards from the rider’s perspective. It probably does help that the sky train speed is controlled by a computer, leading to more consistent results.
I have seen a real version of this. It was made using LCD screens in a tunnel. Displayed advertisements as you went by.
I’ve seen this in Vancouver, Canada, between Burrard and Granville station. unfortunately they’re used to display advertisements. The trains don’t have drivers and are controlled remotely from a central location.

The CPC have put put plenty of campaign material and sentiments, and much of it is highly objectionable. I think it would be better to familiarize yourself with what their platform is and exactly how you disagree with rather than pretending that it doesn’t exist.
