My dog definitely goes crazier when he’s leashed (although usually not with other dogs, he seems to play well). Always wondered if leashes can cause an effect similar to fence aggression.

I’d love to meet 19 year old me. That guy thought he was a bit of a misanthrope and every time he met a new person would be like “Waow this is the coolest nicest most interesting person ever”.

I don’t think it’s reciprocated (I have asked her out in the past), but I do have reason to think she said no because it would’ve affected our broader social group. She definitely flirted with me in a very clumsy teenage way when we were teenagers, and has gone through periods when she’s been more affectionate since. I think I could keep it platonic forever though, the pain isn’t nearly as much as what I get out of the friendship. She’s absolutely helped me maintain my sanity through the years, always has time for me, she’s kind, compassionate, and empathetic. Like the reason the romantic feelings persist is that I enjoy to be around her!

I really hate that I’ve had romantic feelings for my best friend for like 17 years. What is wrong with me.
