I have automatic updates on everything, but if I actually spent time managing updates and vulnerabilities I’d have no time to do anything else in my life.

Terminal user interface. Way back before we had GUIs, we had line drawing characters for text graphics.

Pretty much anyone outside the US will ignore the DMCA, since it’s solely American law.

However, all countries that are signatories to the Berne convention will respect copyright law, and the list of countries that aren’t is very short, and those that aren’t probably observe TRIPS. And those countries are unlikely to have the infrastructure you want.

I know those FOSS ones aren’t centralized, but I find it a lot easier for them to just update themselves as necessary.
