Wonder what the free speech absolutists think of this.
Wow, that’s cool
Microsoft likely does not want to be reliant on an independent company for its AI models if the technology is going to be as revolutionary as many in the industry believe. It is better to control your own destiny than rely on a wild and frenetic company like OpenAI, which has seen a slew of scandals and ongoing drama, including the brief ouster of Altman.
The whole thing must be very satisfying to Musk, who clearly launched xAI out of jealousy of OpenAI’s sudden and massive rise. He co-founded the startup, after all, but left following disputes surrounding its direction, only to see the company launch ChatGPT and kickstart a new AI generation. Now he is teaming up with OpenAI’s largest backer on his own rival startup. Musk also continues to try and sue OpenAI over its transition to a for-profit company, among other issues.
Yes, because Musk hasn’t seen a slew of scandals and ongoing drama… Great choice, Microsoft!
Wonder who’ll enforce it. And if they want to get on the monster’s bad side.
I feel like talking to a shotgun would hurt my brain less.
Nah man, if you explain things with analogies and metaphors you definitely got the ADHDs! Better get on those meds, yo!
Lately every vaguely relatable thing I read on the internet is a sure-fire sign of ADHD it seems.
Sort of. Headscale is an OSS component that replaces the SAAS Tailscale component but it’s not a full replacement. It’s still pretty dang good though.
