Uhhh what about Apple?
Uhhh what about Apple?
Well then you you need to pay for proprietary software or give your data to Google and friends.
No. No I sure don’t.
There is no such thing aa “first party”
There is. It’s the original development team of the project.
This repo has contributions by 111 different developers at the moment.
All to the same first-party SyncThing repo.
Yeah that’s the thing. I can’t be dependent on such a thing that very well might stop functioning at any time. The fact that it’s not first-party does not fill me with confidence.
Sure. Is this viable long term? Why was it forked? Will it even work with 2.0?

Why did they fork the app?
Android app was discontinued a long time ago due to lack of developers and Google Play shenanigans.
I read this as “gift” the first time haha
Oh yeah, well ublock blocks the blocking of their blocks!
The vast majority of people uploading to YT aren’t (or weren’t) looking to make money. They didn’t even used to pay you anything. People make videos because they’re creators and they like sharing things with the world.
Aside from that YT only has 1 more revenue method than any other platform. There are a dozen other ways to monetize their content.
This is, however, a sulf-fulling prophecy. As long as people maintain that mentality the cycle can never be broken.
Hmm. I thought it was just a piece of salt that broke off…?
No. Its just salt from your sweat. Hit it with some tap water and brush.
They’re scraping the entirety of the web, why would the fedi be an exception?
I don’t notice any lagginess at all…
His brash demeanor is also what keeps it from being better, and causes devs to leave. I know I would never spend my time to contribute to such a toxic environment…
Boost is a native UI, both Voyager and Blorp (While visually appealing) are just web wrappers
What’s the difference?
I don’t even know where to start with this. It’s only available from the Play Store, meaning you have to have a device with a Google account logged in system-wide.
Further, if you want to give money to the devs, the other options also make that available without a 30% tax applied to support one of the largest monopolistic corporations on Earth.
And they’re also just better…
I wouldn’t bother. There are better and actually free apps like Voyager and Blorp.
Several million people who buy them every year certainly do.
