It is. Before my deconverting I was going to study it professionally. You know what a profound moment for me was? I knew that latter authors/editors had changed the text. What dawned on me was that the reason they felt like they were allowed to lie was because they grasped that the people before them were lying as well. I struggle with spices. I make it clear at every Indian/Thai places that they should pretend I am from their country in terms of spice levels. I was into a choose your own adventure books when I was a kid, there was one in particular that you are told in the beginning that there is a perfect ending but you can’t get there by choice. There was no path in the book that got you to that page. You had to just decide to not follow the rules and turn to that page.
