These aren’t even red flags at this point. It’s a blaring siren.

I’m more surprised it took them this long to realize that they can just do this and his cult will believe it.
Not sure if they’ll even list anyone that’s actually guilty, regardless of party loyalties. This is just an assumption, but I assume that some of these people visited the island at the same time as the others. In that case outing even a single individual could lead to them inevitably naming and shaming others that have been too. They wouldn’t risk that.
Sorry if that came off the wrong way. I more so meant it to point out what I intended in case there was a misunderstanding.
None of this is what I am discussing. I’m talking about the people in the thread who are saying that these people deserved this.
I don’t quite understand the outrage in the thread. I’ve been looking through the comments, trying to see if this ever went beyond gossip and I can’t find anything.
From my understanding the app was intended to be a safe space for women to discuss dating. Relaying information about dangerous individuals, or people who cheat. I can imagine that things might have gotten slightly out of hand in regards to anonymous gossip, but is that anything compared to being doxxed? Besides, women, and men have been gossiping behind each others backs for as long as humans have existed. An anonymous app makes it significantly worse certainly, but it is what it is. This behavior is always going to exist for better or for worse. For example, people already discuss this on sites like fetlife since the risk of ending up with someone who wants to batter you for the sake of battering you is somewhat high there.
Surely we can have some sympathy for people who have had their identifications doxxed by 4chan who haven’t done anything worse than a bit of toxic gossip at most?
Why can’t we just rely on common sense instead of jumping to massive generalizations regarding someones gender?
Trump has been covered in red flags regarding his treatment of women for years. E. Jean Carroll? Stormy Daniels? Katie Johnson? The Hollywood Access Tape?
I’m a little anxious that if Me Too blows up again it may have the opposite effect intended, and instead deflect attention away from Trump as people argue over the movement itself.
I still wear dark clothing outside of work, but I’m too old to be digging out the makeup these days. People really don’t respect the time it takes, especially if you can’t wear it in a professional environment.
That should really not be legal.
It shouldn’t be allowed, but unfortunately the immigration court system has always been fucked.
Immigration courts don’t operate under Article 3. They’re run by the DOJ and the AG. I probably don’t have to say much more there. It’s always been awful, but given the current administration you can assume that it’ll be even worse than usual.
I hate how hopeful I am. I keep believing that at some point these people on the right are going to wake up and realize what they’ve voted for.
And I am continuously disappointed as they make more and more excuses for the criminal acts their leadership has committed each time they come to light.
I’m really feeling it.
The narrative has been changing slowly over time.
And there has been at least one public case involving him and Epstein.
We all know he’s guilty, and there is no way he is going to self-incriminates himself. The Epstein files will never see the light of day unless someone leaks them.
Socializing is exhausting. I usually have a couple of people besides my girlfriend that I chat with, and it’s more than enough for me.
I understand that socializing is an important aspect of life. I’m certain there’s all sorts of papers detailing the benefits of it, but I do also think it’s important to learn to be comfortable spending time by yourself.
Reddit? Nah that’s literally every platform.
Yeah I’m not here for this. I just felt this massive wave of fatigue wash over me as I read it.
Like it or not you’re going to run into weirdos in just about every hobby. All preemptively judging people does is teach people to keep to themselves. We’re already building up a society of loners where people struggle to connect to each other with various other causes(loss of third places for example). We don’t really need something like this pushing people further apart, especially when that ultimately drives peoples empathy for each other down too.
I used to be the pride of my family for having finished college. Now it’s demonized by them.
I feel for the students of today. College was an important time for me. I experienced a lot of new ideas, my mind was opened. I didn’t get to do much in grad school, but my first four years of college changed me and I wouldn’t be the same without those experiences. The way the situation is escalating we may see colleges completely locked down or even abolished.
My grandmother on my mother’s side beat my grandfather with a cast iron skillet while he was sleeping in retaliation for him beating her earlier. Apparently he learned from it and it never happened again.
Turing aside, the world simply treated gay people horribly altogether.
Gay men were victims of the holocaust much like many other groups but Germany wouldn’t recognize this until 4 decades later in the 1980s. We know what the British did to Turing but the U.S. acted similarly due to the Lavender Scare which compared gay people to communists and enacted its own witch hunts for them.
Yeah people meme about it but the addiction exists.
Even before microtransactions were huge on mmos, I remember people letting Runescape ruin them. Knew a guy with 3 daughters who was divorced over it. Had an old friend who wouldn’t last more than two weeks at any job cause he’d quit to play and the whole group we played with would get to hear his girlfriend screaming at him over it sometimes (he did get better though).
Now days we have gachas and games with loot boxes so it’s even more predatory.
I get what they were going for considering I’ve known certain people who have been so addicted to specific games that they’ve ruined their lives but I don’t think Walz is in that crowd. He’s still married, looks like he’s a great father who’s involved with his kids and is a more responsible and active politician than 90% of those in politics.
It’s such a poor jab. Besides gaming being this mainstream hobby that everyone partakes of these days, there’s also the fact that even if he was irresponsible, the youngest two of the voting generations would vibe with it. I know people who overspend their money or ignore reality entirely because they feel helpless. It’s a symptom of a problem.
Ah, turns out that all genies use the same code as nuclear gandhi.
