Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.

Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.

Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.

  • You DO need both at first, but he’s absolutely right that ONLY providing food and nothing else isn’t helpful in the long term.

If you can’t grow your own food, then just getting enough to survive handed to you just gives you enough to survive until tomorrow.

Independence requires self-sufficiency, anything less helpful than that is public relations.

  • I have everything I need to build an enclosure for my cheap-ass laser. I have things I want to do with the laser when I can use it without smoking up the house. I have not started on it yet.

I have everything I need to make the rc planes I have been designing. Its all sitting on a shelf waiting for me to do my thing.

One of the things has been waiting for me to do my thing since before I moved.

    I’ll get to it.

    Eventually.

    Maybe.

  • Given we are discussing going back in time 13.8 billion years, and being immune to any negative effects, I think we can go ahead and say that part is figured out by the magic time machine as well.

“being outside spacetime” is probably fine.

Also not a physicist either but that is my understanding as well, there was nothing, no space, no time, no up/down/left/right. And space is still expanding (albeit unevenly) all these billions of years later.

What’s it expanding into? Nothing! At least as far as we know. Still waiting to bump up against the next universe bubble.

  • I use my cell data in my bedroom because it’s more stable than my router connection. I wish I had control of the router, but it’s not my house. I’d just move the router to a more centralized location instead of the farthest corner.

Back before I moved, I kept the router at one of the reduced power modes it had built in(can’t remember the exact settings) since the room it sat in was the best room for signal distribution, you still got full signal anywhere you went.
