2·3 days agoI can think of a quick and dirty lore explanation being that, disabling the power to shields means it runs on backup / emergency batteries/capacitors for a short while and just waiting for it to discharge or something. Maybe that unlocks additional steps for an attacker to bring it down faster by attacking the emitters or something. It can be both more engaging and a delay/stall tactic.
I do 2 accounts, one normal, one mfa. If only the extension would let you pull from both accounts at once! KepassXC still does the usability better.

8·2 months ago… i think i have this fork. We had only the long ones in rotation and then i discovered the rest of the set and put them in service. I prefer yhe short ones for balance reasons. Especially in an empty bowl.
I found just doing it the best for me. Start with proxmox hypervisor on some old pc. Start running a bunch of services. Some documentation mentions “heres how you set it up behind a reverse proxy”. “Hmm…whats that” is pretty much how i learned it.
Then compare with people in the homelab communities who are doing differently and find out why.

1·2 months agoNo its ok. When you jave both plugged in. Do a grub update (i forget the command) but then it’ll add windows to the grub list when it sees it.
I don’t think his point was the jack itself but the device around the jack. Physically and electronically.



I imagine that explosive decompression is gonna stay off mostly to avoid physics calcs for now. Seems like a PITA to get performant
