As someone who is doing a massive research project on the Maya peoples right now, that civilization was technologically way ahead of the game! You’re making a sweeping general statement. Polygamy is just Polyamory taken to vows. There is a problem with a lot of the people that practice polygamy in an unethical way, but not polygamy itself.
