So it wasn’t just my mom.
So it wasn’t just my mom.
I can make it on my own?? I can’t believe you have your life so well put together. I like cats better than dogs now?
My cat making what I call his “wretched meow” like he is the tiniest baby cat left out in the cold and needs cuddles right now.
Also, the sound of my neighbors’ kids playing outside is the sweetest thing.
Absolutely love any corn chips with cottage cheese!
Are you from Texas? There was a restaurant chain there back in the day that served a pie very similar that consisted of a crisp whipped cream meringue(?) mixed with crumbled saltines. It was absolutely divine, I found the recipe a few years ago but I failed to make the pie of my rememories.
As a Spanish speaker, Dirty Cola hits different.
Sekilos Epitaph. I listened to it a lot when my loved one died.
Bahaha! First thought is something goes wrong during the mind-wipe and now it’s your conscious inside a minuscule bacteria body cruising through someone else’s poop machine. I think I would try to rally my bacterial brethren to violence.
I’ve been at my job for less than a year, so I’m still learning new stuff here and there. I’m salaried too. When I’m working on processes I am familiar with - my job is cake. This week I took on a new and complex project and suddenly felt like you - why is this week so long and exhausting?! Give yourself a few months to get comfortable and your days will go by quickly.
Take five minutes to mourn the red head and then move on with my day.
Feeling bad in the afterlife because my step count was low.
Not everyone here has international travel money.
Neko Case gets me.
Absolutely fascinated by Chinese culture and mythology. I’m a cdrama fan especially costume and cultivation themes. I am currently taking a Mandarin course so I can read, write, and better understand the language. I hope to travel to China soon if the orange clown in the White House doesn’t ruin my plans. I even homebrewed a cultivation ttrpg based on Investiture of The Gods that my friends are playing through right now. They love it! For context I’m not an Asian person - just a neurodivergent person with a deep interest.
Edit: sorry didn’t recognize your lol username, you’ve probably seen me bloviate on my xianxia addiction before.
Early aughts in international relations class they were still teaching students about China being a “sleeping giant” just beginning to come into its own economically speaking. At the time it was emphasized that they had a huge army but it was not well trained in combat. Tianamen and the transition of HK were in the very recent past so it seemed China was more interested in managing internal divisions than challenges on the international front.
