Why don’t they just sell it to him for $1 ? The whole world except him will realize that makes it invalid.

Yes that shift occurred 10 years ago

The word ‘leftist’ entered the American lexicon in the lead-up to Trump’s first term. Before that it was commonly understood as a European word meaning something similar to liberal but more extreme and more locally focused within their respective countries. Now it seems to be still in flux, finding its particular American meaning without any previous word to replace.

It would be like if Trump created a national police force just to recruit his regime loyalists and used government money to fund their weapons and salaries. It’s a crazy idea, I know, but it’s a valid analogy.

If Apple is behind in market share then how are they being penalized as a monopoly more than Samsung?
Sabine Wayand, the EU Director General for Trade, said that Russia’s attack on Ukraine was not an attack on European Sovereignty? That’s doubtful. Source please.
Huh? That doesn’t sound exactly factual-based
Such a strange take on Europe resisting a Russian attack on its sovereignty.

Me, too, but it’s also a just a really strange title. Over 40% of Americans doing worse is a strange way to say most Americans are doing better. Doesn’t make me want to read the article.
I don’t see it happening here yet, but your comment now has me on alert. I escaped Reddit to get away from all that ad hominem and straw man indignation crappola. I was happy to see the Lemmy sign-up process was more extensive than just a captcha and email confirmation, but in the long run it won’t be enough. I think ultimately it’s the decentralization that will have the biggest protective effect.

Hundreds of Beavers (2022). Dunno why. It just feels right.

Where can I find Putin’s KGB record? I thought he was an analyst and advisor in those days.
Did their viewing habits affect their opinion of property taxes?

This is exactly what I thought of first.
The word ‘moist’ comes up really frequently in lists of people’s most hated words. Can you explain why? To me it seems like just any random word.
