  • I leave my carriers out, open, and as part of their tunnel system (I sometimes put the ends of crinkly tubes into the carriers to make an end play point).

So my cats actually enjoy their carriers. I don’t even have to shove them in, just put in a couple treats and since they are used to being in it, zip it peacefully behind them.

  • Counterpoint: “get therapy” is often a shorthand stand-in for “Jesus fuck, do at least a little bit of work on making yourself slightly tolerable, please!” Which can be done through reading stuff online and actually thinking about it, watching videos on YouTube, etc. It doesn’t all actually require therapy, but a therapist is capable of pointing you in the right direction, and reassessing with progress, which makes it faster and easier.

There is definitely some stuff that requires outside help to really thrive with, or that’s much easier to work through with help, but most of the therapy I’ve ever had was shit I could have found online. It wasn’t even applied in a particularly unique way.

It’s amazing all the little details people think of. “When people look up they see… a weird spiral that causes vertigo… let’s umm… oh I know let’s extend this observation railing, and make it a duck this time!” Even though looking up isn’t, really, a necessarily major design consideration in most buildings. Not to say they ignore it, just it’s not a priority most of the time.

    Edit: can’t speeeeelllll
