lol. Can’t tell you about their lives, but I can tell you about the dnd one-off we ran, and inevitably got too stoned and lost the plot of.
It is funny though - letting the mask of socially-mandated small talk fall off, and just being in the presence of people you know you vibe with. Could do better with expressing the deep care for one another, but if we haven’t driven each other off yet with our antics throughout the process of emotionally maturing, we feel the care, connection, and acceptance of all we do. One reason the “Will and Harper” documentary made me sob; just undaunted support between friends who are there for who you are with no other expectations.
Basically this. I already know my friends and when we have (rare) time together why would I waste it talking about the most boring part of my life: work.
We just gonna riff off each other
And the riffs are the funniest thing in the world, but require a decade minimum of friend-lore to comprehend
Yes exactly… They are the funniest thing ever to the exact people hearing them and utterly impenetrable to everyone else.

I get most, except I can’t place or name the small island nations in the Caribbean and Pacific
I wish I could help but my mnemonics are ridiculous lol
That main archipelago in the Caribbean is vaguely alphabetical: Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent, …grenada
Trinidad and Tobago next to Venezuela (T&T and VZ)
And so on lol
Dang, i can only make good mnemonics for the purpose of memorizing different tanks lmao
Oh,I don’t use mnemonics
I fried my brain on paradox map games
Appreciate the tip though

me: green jelly like martha stewart makes

I could probably name most. I could not place most. I also could not do that with us states.
I can place almost all of them but some of the small ones in West Africa throw me off. Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda are also ones that often throw me off when placing them. Lesotho and Eswatini are obviously easy to mix up. Zambia and Tanzania also often throw me off but that one’s a bit easier to remember for me because, spiritually, I just find it easier to place Freddy Mercury’s birthplace in the East coast of Africa than in the middle of the South; that one’s just a very weird vibe thing.
I can name em, but placing them will throw me and if I get one wrong everything is fucked cause I mostly remember Africa by bordering countries. Gotta be in relation to one another
The quiz I do is just naming them so you can try
Africa is a blind spot in my geography knowledge that I need to correct

All men are autistic
Nah, being emotionally stunted by the patriarchy isn’t the same as neurodivergence. One of them can be fixed with therapy and introspection and it doesnt prevent you from participating fully in society; the other is a legit disability that makes you into an other and is socially disciplined. Maleness more often than not carries power, neurodivergent people have any power they could have taken from them.
Yeah, my male friends except one almost hide from me anything serious in their life including their job, girlfriends, etc. I guess I do too (edit: I actually live an embarrassing life of failure and foibles though, that needs to be ignored and lied about), and my liberal sister is similar to not wanting to talk about anything serious for fear of being political or unpleasant.
You are completely correct. I apologise if my flippant comment was a generalisation. As both a male and a neurodivergent, I find it difficult to separate the two.
It’s all good, i didn’t assume any ill-intent. In classic ND fashion I just took the joke way too seriously and went to town trying to explain why it was innacurate. Apologies if my response was too negative or made you feel bad.
All good. ❤️
