NSFW flag incorrectly added to Bible and Quran apps

Hi, I recently released v1.6.0 of my app, bible feed, to f-droid. For some reason it has been tagged as NSFW and I notice this new metadata has been added to the top: AntiFeatures: NSFW: en-US: Promote ■■■■ and violence contents. https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/blob/master/metadata/com.me2christ.bible_feed.yml But this is a simple bible reader app that obviously does not promote ■■■■ or violence in any way. I did not add this metadata, so where did it come from and why has it been...

    Yeah, that discussion is fun, has been posted on Lemmy several times already. And it’s still ongoing 😳 Goes without saying, half of the people there have no clue what they’re talking about 😆

    Man, what a fuckin shitshow…

    The bible tracker being marked as nsfw presumably because someone doesn’t like the Bible (me neither) feels pretty unambiguously bad faith (hah. Fitting.)

    Edit: I should have specified it’s bad faith because it doesn’t contain any of the Bible. Just chapter names and stuff. It’s for tracking progress, not actually reading within the app.

      If there are rules applied to determine whether or not something is NSFW, it should be applied evenly - even to religious texts.

      edit: Ah, the app doesn’t actually contain the Bible’s text. I stand corrected.

        Yeah I should have specified that’s why I felt that one was in bad faith. It doesn’t contain anything 🤷‍♂️
