Starship AI Valves have a base price of 12 million units each. I don’t think you can dig these up, though. The only way I’ve ever gotten my hands on one is as part of the loot you get for scrapping a starship, and I think they can be gifted to you very rarely by NPCs.

The Fusion Igniter and Stasis Device are currently tied for the commodity with the highest trade value in the game, with a base price of 15.6 million units each. You can craft both of these but they take a large amount of specific materials and multiple crafting steps to generate from the whole cloth, and require knowledge of several advanced blueprints, all of which makes it a pain in the ass. Despite their high resale value it’s faster and easier to employ other ways of making cash.

Interesting, I didn’t know that there were more valuable ones.

Currently I also employ Gravitino Balls, but they don’t yield as much as they used to.

Gravballs are also one of the commodities influenced by the supply and demand mechanic, so if you flood an area’s market with them their selling price drops dramatically.

I found the easy money is to get the coords for a planet where a bunch of people have set up activated indium (AI) mining operations from the coord subreddit. Then I just travel there, set up a base for ease of access, and switch my network activity off. Every mine on the planet will be full of AI that you can freely take with no risk of stealing from the base owner since you’re offline. Grab as much as you can fit in your inventories, then start flying around to find a good place to sell the lot.

The last step tends to be the tricky one. AI is a commodity that responds to surges in availability, so anyone who sold near you or near the mining planet will drive the sale price down for a while. If you find a system that you can sell the AI at market value, then you can make hundreds of millions in one fell swoop.

This game is just exploring generated terrain right? What can you really do? They could create special planets like earth with cc like tourist destinations. Wormholes? So boring otherwise

This game is almost 10 years old and we still have clowns asking, “BuT wHaT dO yOu Do?!” and “Is Earth in the game?” if this isn’t trolling, please take a local community college class on the basics of using the internet so you can learn to search for information.
