It is apparently the apex of hypocrisy to visit Saudi Arabia during the current news cycle. For better or worse, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries always get the short end of the stick in terms of everyday discussions compared to other client states.

By that, I mean libs will sing praises about South Korea, “Taiwan”, Japan (not sure if the term correctly applies here but do correct me if I’m wrong), Thailand, and so on. Libs will continue having normal everyday cultural discussions when the U.S., Canada, U.K., Poland, Germany, etc… are mentioned. As soon as the Gulf are mentioned, human rights abuses.

Imagine if culture articles about Coachella or the Super Bowl were prefaced with or ended with a paragraph about the U.S’s bombing campaigns in Yemen and their involvement in the color revolution in Syria. Sure, that’d be incredibly based, but that just doesn’t happen.

The Gulf are therefore too brown for the libs’ tastes.
