In 2016, my father had a merchant permit, which meant he was allowed to go from Gaza to the West Bank, via the occupied territories. Every so often, he would go there to visit my uncle who lives there. When he got out, the Zionists arrested him without charge (administrative prison). He lived for 63 days in a dark cell, not seeing light, filled with water, with no bed, just one blanket to sleep on. He didn’t know what time it was and didn’t know day from night. There were insects and mice everywhere. He ate dry bread every day. They tortured him with electricity, beatings and humiliation. They threatened to kill us and destroy his house over the heads of his children in order to make him confess to nothing. The marks of torture are still on him to this day. We knew nothing about his time in prison. No news was sent to us about him. All of this torture and suffering without any charge. When he got out, his face became thin and he lost more than 25 kilos of his weight in just two months. This is the suffering of Palestinian prisoners in Zionist prisons. Freedom for Greta Thunberg
