Care to elaborate? I haven’t seen this show yet, though I’ve heard good things about it. What changed when they switched to HBO?
ETA: Watching this episode now. Thank goodness for sailing the high seas…
Edit (again): The watch was worth it. Those writers absolutely know what’s up. It gave me vibes like when I was a kid watching Rocko’s Modern Life (which had the company Conglom-O, with the motto “We Own You.”) Thanks for the recommendation!
Childrens cartoons (epi The Burger) are starting to point it out. Time to eat the rich. And eating them may be the nicest thing we could do.

Reading the episode plot, this sounds like a solid storyline all around. A single evil corporation owns the rights to all the food? That checks out.
Don’t know what happened but, moving to HBO broke them. The episodes are really good.

Before it was a pre-teen/ teen show. After going to HBO, it got some good adult jokes in it. It borders an adult cartoon.
I think Rocko’s modern life is a good comparison.
