I quite like dark souls 2. I don’t think it’s objectively the best, but it keeps me coming back and it’s interesting. I’ve played so much dark souls 1 I can’t play it anymore, dark souls 3 never really was my cup of tea and wasn’t incredibly long to begin with. Elden ring is great, but the time commitment to a playthrough is kind of off-putting.

Dark souls 2 seems like it’s the weird one that accidentally got a lot of stuff right to maintain a slow burn of interest from me over the years.
