This result is so close that it’s entirely possible that Trump’s “Truth” this morning with his 51st state threat resulted in PP losing his seat.

Given how the CPC turnout was well above expected nationally, it seems more likely this was a result of the hard work Fanjoy’ team put in there and PP’s natural anti-charisma.

Took me a while ro figure out what you meant by a “Truth”. I’m only just figuring out what “Xcreting” is.

As a Lemmy user, you’re probably aware of Mastodon. And, last I heard, “Truth Social” is just running a hacked-up version of Mastodon, but without the federation. So, they really could be called “toots”…

Oh interesting. I suppose anyone could spin up an unfederated Mastodon server.

Wait, did we come all the way here just to return to forums? Even I had my own forum back in the 2000s

Will the Conservatives force someone to resign just to give him a seat?

    Probably, that’s pretty on-brand

Jagmeet is already, gone, I think PP isn’t long for politics going forward. I think this is great, we need fresh blood and I hope CONs realize their strats aren’t gonna cut it.

I don’t want the CONs gone from Canada, I want them to reform into a party worthy of respect – just differing in opinion of how to progress Canada forward.

See if you can provoke Trump into “Truthing” about making Australia the 52nd state. It did wonders for the left-leaning Liberals in Canada. Your Liberals are right-wing, but they’re slɐɹǝqᴉ˥ so I don’t know if that makes things work the opposite way or not.

I was thinking about that, but that would require Me getting back on Twitter and riling the Orange Clown up about his Australian puppets.

I’m not willing to jump on that grenade because I no longe have a Twitter account and I don’t want anything to do with him.

That would be so sweet. I remember last election it was pretty close for his seat but he hung on.
