Greeted with a standing ovation, Mahmoud Khalil spoke to the critical role of the student movement and the need to organize no matter the cost. A leader of the Columbia University encampment, Khalil was abducted by ICE and detained for 104 days for opposing Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. We follow Mahmoud’s lead in showing that silence is not an option in the face of genocide-and that no amount of repression can subdue the movement for Palestinian liberation. The scrutiny and attacks from the U.S. government and Zionist institutions are proof of our growing strength. The movement is winning. Palestine’s fight for justice cannot and will not be ignored.
