Which lens? You know the one.
Yeah, that one. In the process I discovered that my rinky-dink tripod, which I probably brought some time around 1999 for the equally dinky digital camera I had back then, is wholly insufficient. So that one is handheld.
So’s this one:
That’s not terribly remarkable, perhaps, except for the fact that I determined via the expedient of poking the crimped metal thingamabob on that cable with my laser rangefinder that this bird was about 70 feet away. (Of course I have a laser rangefinder; don’t be daft.) This thing really lets you get up in the faces of critters quite far away.
And I haven’t even tried sticking my range extender on it yet, either.
Sorry all of these are Boring Brown Birds. I promise I’ll find some more interesting birds later.
