“Barely noticeable drop” is a bit of an understatement I’d wager. Maybe by comparison. 1% of the Chinese GDP is still the livelihood of millions of people.
This is valid, but should also take into consideration that China isn’t a capitalist wasteland; I presume those millions will not end up starving int the streets.
